"GREAT service even though I only saw one waiter. GREAT olive burger & we shared a basket of fries between 3 adults. I will definitely be going back. My sister loves an olive burger so I will have to take her to try the best I have had."

"This restaurant in downtown Lansing is a wonderful old place. They have the best olive burger around hands down. I am unaware of anywhere else that you can get a "colossal" size burger that is so good. You just need to go and find out my claims are true. You won't be disappointed."

"Love this old school local place. The food is kind of greasy spoon style but it hits the spot. Thier ranch is so good and the salads are tasty if you are looking for something healthy. Staff is always super friendly! Pretty fast option for lunch downtown. Weekday lunch time gets pretty busy with everyone on lunch."

"This was the first place that I ever had an olive burger, way back in the 60's. My father took me there for lunch one day when he was a professor at LCC. My life has never been the same ever since. I truly enjoy stopping in for an awesome olive burger whenever I get the chance!, but especially to visit with Gary Weston, his family, and his staff! I love the olive burger so much that I even added one on our menu at our restaurant. Thanks again Gary for all of the delicious memories throughout the years!"

"This place has an old timey feel, but is super warm and inviting. It is very clean, cozy and quaint inside. The service is pleasant. It feels like you're dining at a good family friend's house. The Turkey burger was one of the best I've had in the area and the sweet potato fries are crunchy and delicious. I'd recommend stopping in for a pleasant and homey dining experience."

If you want a great olive burger, this is thee place to be in downtown Lansing. Fast service, good service, and friendly people. My real estate customers often ask for great lunch spots. I highly recommend they make Kewpee's a lunch visit soon.

Wow! Amazing deluxe burger! Would definitely recommend getting the bun grilled: it makes all the difference. Such a delicious burger. And this will be a go to spot from now on. We enjoyed the pretzel bun as well, but we liked the original grilled better. So great to have such a great spot in Lansing.

This place is a Lansing classic. Best olive burger anywhere... period. Fry's and onion rings are also note worthy.

Dining room is super nostalgic. Don't change a thing.

"Look mom! There are kids." My youngest was impressed children (I'm guessing ten yo) were clearing our plates. Everyone was so kind during our visit.

There was something familiar about the creamy, salty sauce that oozed out between two buns with a thick hunk of beef. At first, I wasn't a fan but after a couple of bites, I got used to the brininess of the olives, which was intense at first.

My daughter had the club sandwich. She ate it so fast I didn't get a chance to try it. She said we should stop at Kewpee every time we go to Muskegon. She loved it.

History. They are a sister restaurant to Halo Burger in the Flint area and the inspiration for Wendy's square burgers.

Did not know Kewpees was an historical place in Lansing. Having been there twice I now understand.

There's history going back about 100 or more years which means family ties. Which means stories and memories to share.

There's a familiarity there even if it doesn't include you. Just to sit and watch the people come and go and seems like they are all family.

On my second visit I was sitting outside with the family that originally brought me to kewpie's, and some people from out of state were standing outside looking into kewpies and wondering if they should go in. The family I was sitting with encouraged them to go ahead and go in. This was only my second time but I popped up and said, you'll be sorry if you don't go in and order an olive burger or hamburger. It'll change your life!

I honestly don't know what they do to make their food outstanding. Their olive burger the best I've ever had. Ever. They are unpretentious. Understated. Maybe under rated by those who don't know. And maybe even a little magical.
